Rows of craters run through a field where the Luhansk Sapper team, led by Roman Shutylo, previously identified and detonated antitank mines left behind by the Russian occupation forces in Kherson Oblast prior to their retreat. Roman Shutylo, commander of the Luhansk sappers (Ukraine State Emergency Services) working on Kherson Oblast, continue to clear and dispose of leftover tank mines, personnel mines, and live ordinance left behind by the Russian occupying forces prior to retreating. Roman and his larger group of 40 sappers, all from the occupied territory of Luhansk, have had three deaths and nine who have lost limbs in the line of duty since the beginning of the Russian invasion while working in the Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
